Privacy Policy
We respect your privacy and are committed to handling your personal data lawfully, fairly, and transparently. This notice explains what we collect, why, and the rights you have under UK GDPR.
Who we are
This website is operated by Iconsultants Ltd ( "iConsultants", "we", "our", or "us"), a company registered in England and Wales under company number 15590982, with its registered office at 71–75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London WC2H 9JQ, United Kingdom.
We provide professional services across software consulting, web development, SaaS development, marketplace development, and public IP (IPv4) brokerage advisory. References to "our services" in this notice mean any of these activities.
For the purposes of UK data protection law, Iconsultants Ltd is the data controller for personal information collected through iconsultants.tech and any related communications. For privacy-related queries, contact us at info@iconsultants.tech.
What information we collect
We collect the following categories of personal information when you interact with us:
- Information you provide: your name, business email address, company name, project details, timeline, indicative budget, and any message content you submit through our scope-builder or by emailing us directly.
- Privacy-friendly analytics: aggregated, anonymised usage data collected via Plausible Analytics (page views, referrers, country-level traffic). Plausible does not use cookies, does not identify individual visitors, and does not track users across sites. Full details are in our Cookie Notice.
- Technical information: standard information your browser sends to any web server, including IP address, device type, browser type and version, referring page, and timestamps.
- Communications history: a record of correspondence between you and our team, so we can serve you in context.
We do not knowingly collect special-category (sensitive) personal data, financial-services data, or health information. Our website does not currently offer user accounts or process payments. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16.
How we use your information
We process your personal data on the following lawful bases under UK GDPR Article 6:
- Legitimate interests — to respond to your enquiry, propose services that fit your needs, and maintain a record of business correspondence. We have assessed that these uses do not override your rights.
- Performance of a contract — where we are entering into or performing a contract with you or the organisation you represent.
- Legal obligation — where we must process data to comply with applicable laws, including tax, anti-money-laundering, and corporate record-keeping requirements.
- Consent — where you have explicitly opted in, for example to receive marketing communications. You can withdraw consent at any time without affecting prior lawful processing.
How long we keep your data
We retain personal data only for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes for which it was collected:
- Enquiry correspondence: up to 24 months from the last interaction, unless an engagement begins.
- Client engagement records: for the duration of the engagement and for a period of 6 years thereafter, in line with UK statutory limitation periods and accounting requirements.
- Marketing data (where you have opted in): until you unsubscribe or otherwise object.
After these periods, data is securely deleted or fully anonymised.
International transfers
Some of our service providers may store or process data outside the United Kingdom. Where this happens, we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place, such as:
- transfers to countries the UK Government has determined provide an adequate level of protection;
- the UK International Data Transfer Agreement (IDTA) or the European Standard Contractual Clauses with the UK Addendum.
Your rights under UK GDPR
Subject to certain conditions and exemptions, you have the following rights in relation to your personal information:
- Access — to request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
- Rectification — to ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete information.
- Erasure — to ask us to delete personal data we no longer have a lawful basis to hold.
- Restriction — to ask us to limit how we use your data.
- Portability — to receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format.
- Objection — to object to processing based on legitimate interests or direct marketing.
- Withdraw consent — at any time, where processing is based on consent.
To exercise any of these rights, email info@iconsultants.tech. We will respond within one month, and there is no fee unless your request is manifestly unfounded or excessive.
How to make a complaint
We hope to resolve any concerns directly. If you are not satisfied with how we have handled your personal data, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO):
